Touch Interface Techniques for Collaborative and Interactive Visualization

Purpose

Advances in touch enabling hardware and software technologies have motivated the development of multi-touch visualization software in large high resolution display environments. The effective use of these touch systems is predicated on the ability to recognize and take action on input gestures as symbols in interactive visualization. Exploiting the collaborative nature of these display environments is also possible with the application of novel interaction techniques. This project focuses on researching novel multi-touch interaction techniques that are applied to data visualization.
