The Life Sciences Computing group supports a community of thousands of biologists and biomedical researchers worldwide who are working to understand the principles and mechanisms of life, feed a growing world population, and prevent or treat diseases and disabilities. The position will help find solutions to serious technical challenges faced by our researcher communities. Specifically, the position will design, create, and support new approaches for interactively exploring complicated data sets, enabling and encouraging collaboration, and promoting reproducible research.

HPC Research Associate

Research Associate - HPC Research Associate or Research Scientist (17-08-14-01-0708)
The Research Assosciate or Scientist will provide leadership and technical expertise to TACC's HPC research, development, and support activities. They will assist and work with TACC users; evaluate new HPC architectures, systems, and software; initiate and conduct research; perform application performance analysis and industry standard benchmarking on HPC platforms (and publicize the results); develop and present HPC training modules; pursue external funding by submitting proposals to agencies, industrial partners, and vendors.


Full Stack Research Developer

Research Engineering/ Scientist Associate III - Full Stack Research Developer (17-03-06-03-4209)
This position will work on multiple areas of this project including a front end gateway and software catalog based on an API-driven, web-based technology known as Agave for open science community and support a suite of web applications. Interact and collaborate with researchers nationally to build a better platform for science gateways and grow the community.
