Story Highlights

Six team participated in a special benchmarking opportunity, as part of the quarterly Texascale Days event.

In two-hour slots, the teams tested a variety of codes, from black hole physics to quantum computer simulations, on Frontera, using up to 8,192 nodes or 458,752 processors.

The experiences – some successful, some less so – helped researchers prepare their codes to do full production runs on Frontera and other future large-scale systems.
