2009-10-20     Faith Singer-Villalobos

The HPC news website, insideHPC.com, has nominated the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) for its first annual "HPC Community Leadership Awards."

Editor John E. West said he believes in the power of recognizing the people and organizations that make a difference in the HPC community. In this spirit, 2009 is the inaugural year for the newly created "HPC Community Leadership Awards."

According to West, this award recognizes the people and organizations that have persevered through technology, budget, and organizational challenges to place innovative HPC solutions in the hands of users in business, engineering, technology, and science. A select panel of highly visible leaders in HPC and supercomputing nominated TACC for this year's award in the "Organization" category.

You can visit insideHPC.com to see the list of "Organization" and "Individual" nominees. Voting is open through October 31, 2009. Shortly thereafter, the nomination committee will notify the award recipients.
