Education, Outreach & Training (EOT)
Classes & Seminars Projects

The EOT program at TACC will create an environment where learners, researchers, scientists and teachers are encouraged to leverage advanced computing technologies to address and solve critical issues.

TACC EOT will engage an emerging and existing community of scientific and advanced computing users. We will actively reach out to women, people with disabilities, K-12, underrepresented minorities from minority serving institutions, as well as from majority institutions, non-profit organizations and various non-computing disciplines.

TACC EOT will initiate sustainable local, regional, national and international programs that build a pathway of discovery in science, engineering and technology to attract a diversity users and contributors.

The aim of the TACC EOT program is to assist existing and potential users in understanding the following:

  • What are the advanced computing tools?
  • How do we use advanced computing tools?
  • What is the benefit of using advanced computing tools?
  • How can we work with others using advanced computing tools?
  • What are some relevant ways to use these advanced computing tools to solve specific problems or meet a need.

Please contact Brad Armosky for more information or to be involved in our EOT programs.

In addition to the positions posted above, TACC offers unpaid internships for periods ranging from 3 months to 1 year to highly motivated and talented individuals in the Austin community, including students. Persons selected for internships will receive training, mentoring, and support in developing skills required for potential positions at TACC and elsewhere in the IT industry. Students may also be able to utilize internships for academic credit in some cases, which we will help facilitate.
