Dell sponsored an infrared survey (IR) of TACC's Supercomputer, Lonestar 4, on Friday April 22nd, 2011. A Forward Looking Infrared Radar (FLIR) SC2000 research grade infrared camera was used to reveal potential energy inefficiencies. The findings of this survey provide vital information that could influence future buildings and system structure in order to save energy.
The original report contained all of the infrared images collected as well as selected optical photos to help in understanding the IR images. This slideshow contains a selection of highlighted photos providing the most useful information.
